At Journey to Wellness Therapy, my mission is to provide compassionate and personalized counseling and mental health services. I strive to create a safe space where individuals from all walks of life can explore their thoughts and feelings. This is why, I created Journey To Wellness Therapy.
I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. Services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each of our clients to help them achieve their goals towards their journey to mental health wellness. What is therapy?
Therapy sessions are scheduled meetings with a professional aimed to help you (the client) gain insight, knowledge, and tools to manage any difficult feelings/emotions/symptoms or to improve an area of your personal life. Schedule a consult or continue reading for more information.
What to Expect
Consult: When you elect a consult, you can share a brief summary of your needs and availability to ensure a good fit, then schedule an appointment.
Therapy Session: In our first therapy session, we'll start with introductions, getting to know each other, then once you are comfortable, you can share the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

I am a CERTIFIED PCIT specialist. PCIT is a very effective treatment for children ages 2-7 with behavioral issues, including aggression, disobedience and defiance.
Mindfulness means staying and living in the present moment. Mindfulness therapy focuses on cultivating present-moment awareness and non-judgmental acceptance of thoughts, feelings, and sensations. It aims to improve mental health by enhancing self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stress management.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy involves increasing self-awareness in understanding interplay of thoughts, emotions/feelings, and behaviors/actions to help manage mental health issues.
Internal Family Systems involves Internal work to differentiate and heal parts within us. IFS is a form of psychotherapy that views the mind as containing multiple "parts" or subpersonalities, which can be seen as an internal family, and aims to heal by bringing harmony between these parts through compassionate understanding and dialogue.
Seeking Safety and Motivational interviewing is an evidenced-based treatment model focusing on addictions/ substance use.
